OKLAHOMA!

Last week, Afton and I went to Oklahoma. WE had to leave Dustin at home since he had to work, but other than missing him we had a fantastic time!

Afton did well flying, as usual and this time he was very interested in looking out the window while we were in the air! I wonder if he realizes we're flying?!


One of the reasons we went home was to attend a bridal shower for one of my best friends, Jamie. A bunch of us girls who don't live in OK anymore came into town for this occasion so we made time to celebrate! All new mommies, we went out on Friday for the first time in awhile and had a blast! It was good to catch up even though mostly we talked babies...scared Jamie a bit I think (she's due in September).


We visited everyone we needed to, even if they were short visits. Afton got to spend alot of quality time with his grandparents and uncle Slade and we saw both great-grandmothers and my Aunt Jan and cousins (we call her Afton's Aunt too b/c she's not old enough to be a great-aunt).
Afton was around a lot of dogs, and he LOVES all of them. He made Riley and Scott slightly nervous b/c all he wanted to do was chase them (he crawls faster than any baby I've ever seen) but Odie let him pull his fur and inspect his paws.


We went to to Arts Festival before we flew out and ate some great food while Afton played in the grass soaking up some sunshine before we flew back to Chicago and landed in 37 degree weather...oh well.

Easter Baskets, Easter Eggs, and Egg Bake ohh my!!!!

I have to say that we had a pretty good Easter weekend. The Willanders made the trip down from Minnesota. Afton decorated, and took part in his own Easter Egg hunt, he got a lot of cool things in his Easter basket including a kite!!, He looked damn good in his Easter Outfit, and he slept through almost all of the Easter Sunday church service. The weather was not PERFECT but it wasn't too bad... low to mid 50's and sun. We had a fun weekend and want to thank Grandma and Grandpa Willander for everything they do for us, and for coming to visit Afton for his first Easter.

10 Months

First off I would like to apologize for not posting any pictures or stories in awhile. Aislinn and I have been extremely busy with work. I now am promising that we will get back to uploading new stuff at least once a week. It's hard to believe that Afton is almost 10 months old already!! He can crawl faster than any baby I have ever seen. His top two teeth have came through, and anything he can get his hands on goes in his mouth. He also likes to pull himself up on things (everything) and is very vocal. This weekend Grandma and Grandpa Willander and Aunt Carlee are coming to celebrate Easter. Afton has his special Easter outfit all ready to go. Check back next week for Easter Pictures!!
