Full House!

Just have to say that we are all sooooo excited for this weekend! Dustin's parents, both sisters, and brother-in-law are all coming to visit us! Woo hoo! Now some people may get nervous at the thought of having 7 adults and one baby all under the same roof, but not me! I for one, loved living in the sorority house with 5o+ girls (most of the time, right Phi Mu sisters?), so this is nothing!

So we're looking forward to a great weekend and the only bummer is the weather...it's supposed to be pretty cold and possibly rainy...but we won't let that stop us from having fun!

Camp Frye

This past week Aislinn and I were in Sunny FL working and Afton experienced his first trip away from home without both parents. Aislinn dropped him of at the Frye's on Monday and had a hard time leaving him. It was both hard and weird not having him with us but we knew we was is good hands, and having fun with his best bud Oscar. We raced on Friday, Aislinn immediately flew to Indy and I flew back home to Chicago. Aislinn and Afton drove back home this morning and we are all back home. Afton and Oscar had a good time playing all week, and we cant thank Scott and Jamie enough for letting Afton come and play for 5 days. I am sure both Oscar and Afton have a few new tricks up there sleeves. This weekend Grandma and Grandpa Willander, Aunt Carlee, Aunt Nicole and Uncle Doug are coming to see us so we are resting up for another busy weekend. Thanks again Scott, Jamie, and Oscar.Oscar-" want a treat?" Afton-"Ya but if there not organic my mom is going to be pissed!"Afton-"I have climbed all these stairs before" Oscar-" Ya right Afton, we can't walk"Afton-" why haven't my parents bought me one of these ball pits?"Oscar-" I get in trouble for playing on this table" Afton-"whatever I'm goin for it"Afton-"Oscar did you know I'm part Irish?" Oscar-" Ya! your middle name is Murphy"Oscar-"I'm not sure why your crying Afton but I will to OK"Oscar-"come on Afton lets escape" Afton-" OK let's go find your cat"

I'm Irish!

Afton has been trying to escape the crib ever since we removed the bumpers...he was exhausted after not napping all day and this is how I found him...This are my favorite pajamas...I call them my "Pooh Skins" because they have Winnie the Pooh on them and they are skin tight!

Even though Dustin does not like it when I make the background on the blog all "fancy," I had to do it...

Afton says, "Well, duh dad, my middle name is Murphy..."

And my birthday is the day before St. Patty's day and my brother Slade's is the day after.

Happy St. Patty's Day everyone!

And here are some pics from yesterday. Dustin left for Florida and we are home alone for a week. I have to fly out on Sunday so Afton will go to his friend Oscar's for a week. It will be like camp for him I think and I doubt if he will miss us as much as we will miss him!

Slides and swings!!

Today we took advantage of the nice weather and went for a 2.5 mile run at the Independence Grove nature preserve. Afton enjoys going fast in is stroller and knew if he was good he was going to to able to try out the swings and slides when we were done running. He liked the swings the best, he laughed and laughed as he swung back and forth. Tonight dinner at Red Lobster, also a favorite place of Afton's. He likes to smash his hand on the glass of the soon to be dead lobsters. Sunday I have to fly to FL for 3 days of testing followed by our first race. Aislinn will be coming down for the race weekend. Afton is going to spend 5 days at his best friend Oscar's house in Indy. It is going to be hard to leave him but I know he will have fun with Oscar, Jamie, and Scott.Afton and Ma preparing for departure down the slide.Action shot on the swing

Greta's Birthday

Over the weekend Aislinn, Afton and I packed up the car and headed to the great state of Minnesota, "God's country" for the weekend. We went up there for cousin Greta's 1st birthday party. We were greeted by the great state with 8 inches of fresh snow. It was fun for us to see some of the family and to be part of Greta's special day. The party was fun and Afton liked playing with all of the different toys and someone his own age. Afton also took part in his first birthday cake tasting. Afton told Greta this direct quote. "Greta you should be eating this stuff, not smashing it. It's way better than liquefied chicken" After the party it was only right for the birthday girl to pick out a restaurant for her birthday supper, lucky for us she picked the Granite City Brewery! After supper we went to Maple Grove with Grandma, and Grandpa to spend the night with my Aunt Sherrie, Uncle Phil, and cousins, Austin, Jesse, and Cole. Everyone enjoyed watching Afton burn the knees out of his jeans crawling across the floor, and listening to stories in Afton's language. Thanks to Tom, Jamie, Phil, and Sherrie for the great hospitality. And my parents for dinner. Love you all!!!
